South Western Ontario Retreat
Reminder that SWOR is taking place November 6th to 8th in Guelph! Please talk to Ishan or Maisie at the planning meeting today. If you can't make it but are still interested in going, email Maisie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s that time of year again! National Conference will be taking place in Hamilton from January 15th to 17th. If you are interested in attending we will be discussing it during the Planning Meeting today. If you are unable to make the meeting, reach out to Ishan or Emily Larochelle for more information. Registration is due November 15th.
Our highest visibility event of the year is happening next Tuesday! Be sure to stop by UC Hill at 12:30 PM to watch our pumpkins drop. The Pumpkin Drop team is also looking for volunteers to run a promotional table in Essex Hall and for people to help out with day-of logistics. Contact Spencer if you’d like to sign up!
Scare Them Fair is happening this Wednesday October 28th in the basement of the UCC! The Fair Trade Team will have some fun games set up there and some sweet Fairtrade giveaways, so be sure to stop by!
As always, Planning Meetings are Tuesdays at 5:30 pm in SEB 2094, and Member Learnings are Thursdays at 5:30 pm in UCC 59.

uwoewb EWB is concerned about the information presented in today's article from the Ottawa Citizen and what this means for Canada's role in the post-2015 development agenda.
The decline in the Government of Canada's contribution to ODA points to a troubling trend. This, despite 2015 polling data that shows the majority of Canadians not only believe it's important to improve health, education and economic opportunity for the world's poorest people, but that doing so is our moral obligation as Canadians.
EWB would like to see Canada reverse this trend and increase our investment in global poverty reduction with an eye towards the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
