End of the Year Updates

We've got two last big events coming up tomorrow to wrap up the semester:

Youth Conference

Our youth conference is coming up tomorow!! We have more than 150 students coming and have a packed schedule prepared of six different workshop streams. Following Youth Conference, we'll all be celebrating the year at our social event tomorrow evening! It's been a phenomenal year, thanks to everyone for all the work you've done :)

Bono thanks Canadians for foreign aid contributions

uwoewb EWB is concerned about the information presented in today's article from the Ottawa Citizen and what this means for Canada's role in the post-2015 development agenda. The decline in the Government of Canada's contribution to ODA points to a troubling trend. This, despite 2015 polling data that shows the majority of Canadians not only believe it's important to improve health, education and economic opportunity for the world's poorest people, but that doing so is our moral obligation as Canadians. EWB would like to see Canada reverse this trend and increase our investment in global poverty reduction with an eye towards the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
