Google Hangout Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm EST
by Shivani Chotalia on Feb 16, 2015 - 12:23 PM EST

Hi everyone!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join our discussion last Thursday to decide on next year's chapter structure. We recognized that there wasn't enough time during the meeting to properly address the issue of when Youth Engagement should be its own portfolio or stay within the Outreach portfolio.

In order to give everyone an opportunity to talk about it further and to understand and address any concerns that might exist we will be having a Google Hangout tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at 7pm EST. If you would like to be a part of the conversation please email Ishan Tikku at i.tikku@hotmail.com with your google email.

If that time does not work for you please email Ishan or myself with your thoughts on the topic beforehand. Following the conversation we will send out the finalized chapter structure as well as applications for joining next year's exec team!

Talk to you soon!

Shivani

uwoewb EWB is concerned about the information presented in today's article from the Ottawa Citizen and what this means for Canada's role in the post-2015 development agenda. The decline in the Government of Canada's contribution to ODA points to a troubling trend. This, despite 2015 polling data that shows the majority of Canadians not only believe it's important to improve health, education and economic opportunity for the world's poorest people, but that doing so is our moral obligation as Canadians. EWB would like to see Canada reverse this trend and increase our investment in global poverty reduction with an eye towards the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
