I think its time to look at EWB's role as a global organization.

Most of us know about the recent earthquake which has devastated the Haitian capital city; a calamity which has killed untold thousands and will displace and disenfranchise thousands more. I was mulling the implications of this disaster over and over in my head today and i kept wondering: "what is EWB planning on doing

My fav: "Jeff Sachs used to work on Bolivia and Dambisa Moyo is from Zambia. Therefore aid does not work. Jeff Sachs thinks that aid should be trebled and everybody knows this is a bad idea because he had something to do with free market reforms in Bolivia and then he changed his mind. So he is wrong. Belgian farmers dumping milk onto their fields to protest low milk prices...

Are we in the west really "developed", or are we in fact OVER-developed, to the point that we will destroy perfectly good food as a protest tactic?

It's actually kind of sad how much weight EWB has given William Easterly's arguments. A lot of them are based on dramatic oversimplifications, reductionist approaches, and manipulated statistics. In that light, several colleagues and I have launched a website http://billeasterlywatch.wordpress.com/ Bill Easterly Watch: Just Asking that
