I am looking for young engineering grads (1-4 years experience) who might be interested in coming to a full-day workshop on Saturday, Sept 24th from 9:30am-4:00pm. The theme is 'workplace readiness' and the main audience is engineering students, but we are recruiting 6-8 new graduates who can come to share their experience making the school-to-work transition.
The topics include navigating organizaitonal culture, exhibiting influence as a junior person in an organization, and understanding how your values play out in the workplace (what you need to be present, and also how you contribute). As much as we are looking for people to share experiences, we are confident you'll gain some new insights into your experience through the reflection, the frameworks and the discussion too!
The workshop is being led by Jordan Daniow (former African Programs Staff with WatSan in Malawi), and myself (former chapter member and Venture Lead with AVC in Ghana/Uganda) - so there is EWB in the DNA of this thing... please share this with people you think might fit the bill.
If you have questions or are interested, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org - or pull the trigger and sign up for the event via the registration link:
